File Management

Printerhive provides a shared file library for print files. Use it to store files once and reuse them for printers, products, projects, and orders.

Key features

• Uploads: upload G-code and 3MF files to Printerhive.
• Folders: organize files into folders and subfolders.
• Search: search in the current folder or across the whole library.
• Tags: mark files by material, customer, printer type, or production status.
• Plate view: inspect plates inside supported files.
• Metadata: review duration, weight, filament, nozzle, and printer compatibility when available.
• Production links: attach files or plates to products, projects, and order items.

Recommended workflow

1. Upload the file once.
2. Put it into a clear folder.
3. Add useful tags.
4. Open the file and review plates.
5. Send the right plate to a queue or attach it to a product/project.
6. Reuse the same file instead of uploading duplicates.
